after twelve years at the helm of Givenchy, ricardo tisci has tendered his resignation in 2017. the studio team came up with the idea of designing an interim collection for fall 2017 2018. the smart capsule collection consisted of 27 memorable looks and greatest hits from Tisci’s 12-year tenure, done entirely in bright red.

The P.R. department said these were looks that best represented ‘the house codes’ of its original founder, Hubert de Givenchy. The looks were elegant, modern, chic and feminine. Lots of ruffles, slim pants, sleek coats in leather and sequins, fur and lace accented many of the designs. From fall 2013 there was a Bambi sweatshirt belted over a grommeted skirt, you can see at left image. Red was chosen because it’s a strong color, which Tisci often used in his collections. Each piece was sold with a vintage label THAT INDICATES THE ORIGINAL SEASON OF THE REVISITED LOOK.
